GloRilla secures Lil Kim’s endorsement by replicating the legendary photoshoot

GloRilla has chosen to commemorate the arrival of “Leo season” by honoring Lil Kim with a captivating photoshoot reminiscent of her illustrious reign in the 1990s.

Yesterday (July 17), the talented CMG artist took to Instagram, setting the platform ablaze with her striking rendition of Queen Bee’s iconic squat pose. Clad in a radiant silver swimsuit and jacket, she exuded confidence while also showcasing her tattoo-adorned physique. In her caption, she playfully asserted, “Even without a record deal, I’d still command a fortune LEO SEASON APPROACHING………..”

As the comments section became abuzz with spirited exchanges, GloRilla garnered the approval of Lil Kim herself. The trailblazing female rap pioneer expressed her admiration by leaving a gleaming cat with heart-eyes emoji, accompanied by a fire emoji and a heart emoji. Lil Kim originally struck the pose in 1996 for her debut album, “Hard Core.” The cover art featured her provocatively positioned atop a polar bear rug, dressed in alluring lingerie.

Since then, numerous female rappers have drawn inspiration from the Brooklyn native, including notable figures such as Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, and even emerging talents like Coi Leray and DreamDoll.

In May, the daughter of Benzino paid homage to Kim by recreating her iconic pose for the cover of her sophomore album, “COI.” Sharing her excitement on Twitter, she proclaimed, “Introducing my second album, COI, dropping on June 23rd.”

Likewise, at Hot 97’s Summer Jam in 2022, DreamDoll captivated the audience with her daring ensemble—a revealing one-sleeved jumpsuit coupled with a nipple cover—evoking the essence of Lil Kim’s iconic outfit at the 1999 MTV Music Awards.
