Blac Chyna‘s attempt to trademark the Angela Renee Kardashian name has hit what appears to be its final roadblock. Chyna has officially lost the trademark bid after failing to respond to the Kardashians‘ opposition, the Wrap reported Monday. Chyna first applied for the trademark in May 2016, only to be met with claims of consumer confusion from three companies owned by Kim, Kourtney, and Khloé months later.
“On January 20, 2017, the Board issued a notice of default to Applicant because no answer had been filed,” documents from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, which were sent March 29, said. “No response to the notice of default has been filed. Accordingly, judgment by default is hereby entered against Applicant, the opposition is sustained, and registration to Applicant is refused.”
